Friday, November 1, 2024 • 30 Tishrei 5785
7:30 PM - 9:00 PMSocial HallWith Live Music by Beth Am's Own Klezmer Band, Klezmore Square
After our Friday evening Shabbat service with guest speaker Michael McFaul, Director at Stanford's Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, come dine at a delicious community dinner prepared by the Poltava/Odesa Committee. Enjoy delicious Ukrainian stuffed cabbage (just like your grandmother made!) and vegan stuffed cabbage that your grandmother would never have dreamed of. For those who don’t like cabbage, there will be meatballs. Come together as a community supporting our friends in Ukraine while supporting each other during these challenging times. Of course, there will also be Fred’s challah, veggies, salad and an assortment of desserts made by the gourmet chefs of the Poltava/Odesa Committee. And Beth Am's own klezmer band, Klezmore Square, will be performing!
Cost is $30 per person. All proceeds from the dinners will support our sister congregations in Ukraine, Congregation Beth Am of Poltava and Shirat Ha-Yam of Odesa. To register for this dinner, please pay and complete the form below by Tuesday, October 29. For more information, please contact Judy, (408) 374-8331.
