2:30 PM - 5:00 PMSanta Clara Convention Center, 5001 Great America Parkway, Santa ClaraDemonstrating Local Democracy In Action
Join Congregation Beth Am and 17 other religious and secular Institutions in Santa Clara County to found a new organization focused on a broad range of issues that impact families and residents.
Our goal is to bring power to those who currently don’t have power, so they have a seat at the table to address issues that affect their lives. This organization uses the tools of relational, grassroots community organizing. This is a bottom-up approach through which all 18 Institutions join together to reach out to community residents and form long-term personal relationships that include people of differing racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds; people from different economic situations; people with different political persuasions and from different geography across Santa Clara County. The results will be to improve the lives of every family in Santa Clara County.
