On MLK Weekend, Celebrate Hope: Rise Against Hunger
Sunday, January 19, 2025 • 19 Tevet 5785
10:00 AM - 12:00 PMSocial HallJewish tradition implores us to actively work toward creating the world we wish to see. Approximately 733 million people worldwide suffer from hunger and malnutrition, about 2-1/2 times the U.S. population.
The United Nations has set a goal of Zero Hunger by 2030, and we need everyone’s help! On January 19, Beth Am will pack 25,000+ meals in a fun and fast-paced two hours. 70% of Rise Against Hunger meals go to hungry children all over the world and support children’s attendance at school (the only meal many receive that day), with 30% of packed meals going to health clinics, disaster relief efforts, and adults learning a new trade.
Volunteers aged two and older are welcome. This is a great intergenerational event!
Please register by Thursday, January 16 using the form below.
