June Tzedakah Box: Merkaz Hashachar
Participants use their bodies to form the name "Ketura" in Hebrew
June's Tzedakah Box goes to Merkaz Hashachar whose mission is to initiate and advance education, culture and health in the Arava and in Israel, while abiding by the principles of Zionism, democracy and co-existence. Based out of Kibbutz Ketura in southern Israel, Merkaz Hashachar helps children and adults access education; enjoy religious pluralism; understand and and support Jewish-Arab coexistence; and promote and practice environmental sustainability. Since October 7th, Merkaz Hashachar have worked directly with communities near the Gaza border and also has helped provide resources and programming to individuals displaced to Eilat.
