January 2025 Fund in Focus: The Aptekar Family Endowment Fund for Film

The Aptekar Fund sponsors one of the most popular programs at Beth Am, our Shabbat Film Series. Ranging from documentaries about Jewish history, to political commentary, to love stories, to singing cowboys — the fund makes it all possible!
Fund creators Judy and Bob Aptekar were inspired to endow the film program after seeing how much members enjoyed the Shabbat afternoon film series. They love how it brings people together around fun and meaningful content, spurring conversations and connections with each other. If you haven’t checked out our film screenings yet, come on by!
Funds like this keep our Beth Am programs going, so we encourage you to consider donating to the fund of your choice on your next special occasion.
If you would like information about how to create your own named fund, please betham.org/GIVE or contact Director of Development Mandy Eisner at meisner@betham.org or (650) 493-4661, ext. 211.
