Q & A: World Zionist Election 2025
WHAT?
Every five years the World Zionist Congress (WZC) election gives you a vote to help shape the future of Jewish life in Israel and worldwide. The elected representatives will make key decisions allocating over 1 billion dollars annually.
WHO?
Voting is open to U.S. citizens or legal, U.S. permanent residents who identify as Jewish and are 18 years or older.
WHEN?
Voting is open from March 10 - May 4, 2025.
WHY?
The outcome impacts political appointments, governs budget allocations, and determines policies regarding many aspects of Israeli society, such as: Aliyah, conversion, restrictions on settlement expansion, who gets aid, and who can marry. And it affects a wide array of diaspora programs including: NFTY Israel trips, counselors for URJ camps and efforts to counter U.S. and global antisemitism.
COST?
There is an administrative fee of $5.
