House of Healing Film
Watch to find out how Beit R'fuah (House of Healing), a synagogue-based mental health support group, supports individuals and families at Congregation Beth Am in Los Altos Hills, California.
Beit R’fuah and Congregation Beth Am invite you to view the House of Healing, a beautiful and powerful documentary film that exemplifies how synagogues can create mental health friendly congregations by de-stigmatizing mental illness. In the safety of a confidential, caring and nonjudgmental environment, families and their loved ones who are coping with mental illness can share their stories without fear of being judged or embarrassed. And with the global pandemic exacerbating mental health challenges for many, there is even more urgency to serve as a resource for congregations and their members who need support.
Beit R’fuah (House of Healing) serves as inspiration to other congregations to reach those in need in their own community. In an effort to include those who have mental disabilities, we strengthen our communities and fulfill the mitzvah of tikkun olam (repairing the world).
We invite you to make a donation to support our new documentary House of Healing. Thank you in advance.
