Concert for Ukraine: Pamela Rose Presents “Wild Women of the Sixties”
Sunday, March 30, 2025 • 1 Nisan 5785
2:00 PM - 3:30 PMSocial Hall; Reception to FollowAttend a benefit concert for our sister congregations in Poltava and Odesa, whose members and neighbors struggle in great uncertainty with major life challenges in war-torn Ukraine.
Many of the unforgettable songs of the 1960’s were written by women – and most of those women were Jewish. Pamela Rose, along with pianist John R. Burr and Kristen Strom on saxophone, will deliver a thrilling and soulful, live concert featuring songs from the soundtrack of that generation. Fascinating background information on the lives and times of the talented songwriters will give insight into the evolution of this music. Be prepared to sing along!
A reception will follow the musical performance.
Electrical power is still needed in Ukraine… figurately and literally. (Beth Am just sent almost $5,000 for portable power packs to so that some families can cook meals.) By supporting this fundraiser, you are distributing hope for a free and democratic community to the people of Poltava and Odesa in the future.
Cost: $36/person. All proceeds from the concert will support the Beth Am Poltava and Odesa Fund (additional donations are welcome and appreciated). Please purchase tickets by Sunday, March 30 using the form below.
If you have any questions, please contact Judy, (408) 374-8331.
