Beth Am Women Rosh Chodesh Kislev: Color and Light — Beeswax Candlemaking
Tuesday, December 3, 2024 • 2 Kislev 5785
7:30 PM - 9:00 PMRoom 16With Lisa Rauchwerger
Kislev’s sign — the rainbow — represents the 1st covenant between God and humanity, and the mix of sunshine and rain typical of this month. As we gradually increase in darkness and prepare for the holiday of light — Chanukah, which begins in Kislev — we will roll our own light by making beeswax candles for our holiday celebrations. All colors of the rainbow will be available, as we celebrate the full spectrum and diversity of humanity. Participants will have the opportunity to create a full "box" of candles — enough to last all eight nights of Chanukah.
All materials will be provided by Lisa and Beth Am Women. The evening is free, but donations to Beth Am Women are always welcome. You are invited to bring snacks to share!
