On MLK Weekend, Celebrate Hope: Rise Against Hunger
Saturday, January 14, 2023 • 21 Tevet 5783
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM(NEW START TIME) Social Hall828 million people in the world suffer from hunger and malnutrition. That’s 2-1/2 times the U.S. population. The United Nations has set a goal of Zero Hunger by 2030 and we need everyone’s help! On January 14, Beth Am will pack 25,000+ meals in a fun and fast-paced two hours. 70% of Rise Against Hunger meals go to hungry children all over the world and support children’s attendance at school (the only meal many receive that day) with 30% of packed meals going to health clinics, disaster relief efforts and adults learning a new trade.
Volunteers aged two and older are welcome. This is a great intergenerational event!
Please register by Friday, January 12 to particiate. For more information, please contact Rebecca Rubinstein.
