With special guests Rabbi Juliana Karol and Rabbi Gershom Sizomu

Our community will join together to celebrate the installation of our newest rabbi, Shoshana Nambi. In the few months that Rabbi Nambi has been with Beth Am, she has already made positive connections with members of all ages who appreciate her wisdom, warmth and joyful spirit.

Our special guests will be Rabbi Juliana Karol, Associate Rabbi of Congregation Rodeph Sholom in New York, who was Rabbi Nambi’s supervisor when she interned at Rodeph; and Rabbi Gershom Sizomu, who serves as the rabbi of the Abayudaya community, and is the first Chief Rabbi of Uganda. Rabbi Sizomu was and is running again as member of the Ugandan Parliament.

The service will be followed by a festive Oneg Shabbat, sponsored by the Liebhaber Fund, for the whole congregation in the Social Hall.
