Pros and Cons Ballot Information Session: Presented by Beth Am Pursue Justice and League of Women Voters
Sunday, October 13, 2024 • 11 Tishrei 5785
3:00 PM - 5:00 PMBeit KehillahCalifornia voters are being asked to vote on ten ballot propositions in the November 2024 election. Members of the LWV have studied the state and local propositions in detail to make understanding the measures much easier for you. During this session, members of the local Voter Services committee will share information and answer questions to help you make the best informed decisions based on your individual values.
A common question is "Doesn't the LWV also provide recommendations on the propositions?" The answer is yes. The LWV encompasses both a strictly non-partisan organization (which includes Voter Services) and a 501(c4) entity allowed to express opinions on social issues, such as Ballot Recommendations. Neither is allowed to support candidates or political parties.
An unbiased discussion of ballot measures is a rare opportunity given the mass marketing surrounding the election. Join this informative session to learn more!
