Those who grew up watching Shari Lewis and her loveable sock puppet, Lamb Chop, will recall her with a nostalgic smile. Raised in the Bronx with a pianist mother and Yeshiva University professor father (who moonlighted as Peter Pan the Magic Man), it’s no wonder Shari was attracted to show biz. She became a pioneer of children’s television.  

Though best known as a skillful puppeteer and ventriloquist, Lewis was also a dancer, singer and magician. Featuring home movies, archival footage and candid interviews with family and colleagues, this charming documentary charts the highs and lows of Lewis’s amazing career. Be ready for a surprise or two when the film is over!
