Saturday, February 22, 2025 24 Sh'vat 5785

3:30 PM - 5:30 PMBeit Kehillah

Film screening, 1 hour, 44 minutes; English; Followed by discussion

Provocative, polarizing and passionate, defense attorney Alan Dershowitz is famous for representing infamous clients, like Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump and O.J. Simpson. His unflagging defense of constitutional rights and civil liberties has caused many of his friends to declare, “I used to admire you, now I despise you.”

This engaging documentary, sure to generate a lively discussion, was five years in the making by Canadian director John Curtin. It explores Dershowitz’s notable victories and lesser-known losses, as well as his court battles with one of Epstein’s victims, who accused Dershowitz of sexual misconduct.

Law professor Michael Asimow will present the film and lead our post-film discussion.
