Tot Shabbat Services and Dinners

Families with children ages five and under celebrate Shabbat in a kid-friendly service. Tot Shabbat includes singing, dancing, blessings and a short story told by one of the rabbis. Every month, families with young children enjoy an informal Shabbat dinner. We also hold occasional Saturday morning tot shabbat services with lots of singing, dancing, snacking and playing.

Children's programs beginning at age one are offered on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, as well as afternoon services that include a skit designed to explore a lesson of the season.

Don't do it alone! — The Mothers Circle Mini-Course provides FREE education and support for women of other religious backgrounds who are raising Jewish children. The course is coming to Beth Am this fall. This three-session course will focus on Jewish rituals, ethics and the how-to’s of creating a Jewish home. Come be a part of this warm and nurturing environment, and feel empowered to take on the responsibility of raising children in Judaism. Mothers in all family constellations are welcome.
