Fund in Focus: Rabbi Akselrad Lecture Series Fund

Rabbi Akselrad, second from left, takes part in the
1965 Civil Rights March in Selma, Alabama

Rabbi Sidney Akselrad (z”l) would have turned 100 this month (June 2021)! He was a beloved leader of the Beth Am community who stood up for what he believed in: justice, human rights and ethical behavior. His leadership inspired (and continues to inspire) our members to think, to act and to take steps to make the world a better place. The Rabbi Akselrad Lecture Series Fund honors our beloved rabbi’s memory by supporting inspiring lectures by leaders of social justice and human relations.

Please consider making a donation to the Rabbi Akselrad Lecture Series Fund to honor Rabbi Akselrad’s trailblazing legacy of social justice activism. You can make your donation online or by mailing a check made payable to “Congregation Beth Am” to the Administrative Office as follows:

Congregation Beth Am
